🏢 Group Health Insurance in Imperial County, CA

I’m Matthew Reilly, a licensed California health, life, and group insurance agent. Imperial County is farm country below sea level, where Colorado River water makes agriculture the largest source of local jobs, and I help clients in English and Spanish.

Imperial County is California’s newest county, formed in 1907, and it takes its name from the Imperial Valley, which was named for the Imperial Land Company. The valley gets only about three inches of rain a year, so farms rely on Colorado River water carried in by the All-American Canal. Agriculture supplies nearly half of local jobs, the valley is also a center for solar and geothermal projects, and much of the county sits below sea level. About 85% of residents are Hispanic or Latino, and I help clients in English and Spanish. Eligibility for Medi-Cal and Covered California help depends on household and income, and many households may qualify.

🏢 What group health options exist for Imperial County employers?Carrier Access
Employers in Imperial County have access to the broader California small- and large-group market through the carrier network I work with through our vendor partners. Which carriers have active networks in your exact location depends on which hospital systems and medical groups your employees use — I confirm the real, current list for your ZIP code before you ever see a quote, rather than promising specific carrier names up front.
📋 Does group size work differently in Imperial County than the rest of California?Group Size
No — the small group (1–50 employees) vs. large group (51+) split, participation minimums, and open enrollment timing are all set at the state and federal level, not the county level. What does change locally is which hospital systems and medical groups are strongest in your employees’ network. See the Coverage Guide for how group size and plan rules work statewide.

👨‍⚕️ “Fourth-quarter open enrollment moves fast. So do we, with fast quote turnaround when the clock is ticking.”

👩‍⚕️ “Your census is uploaded securely, and every plan is compared side by side in the Professional Suite before your renewal date lands. When did your current broker last show you the full market?”

🤝 Do I need a local agent, or can you help from outside Imperial County?Remote Access
I’m licensed to sell health and life insurance throughout California, and most of my clients handle everything by phone, text, and video — comparing options, signing paperwork, and getting enrolled without ever needing an in-person meeting. Imperial County employers get the same attention and the same carrier access as my Orange County clients; I just handle it remotely instead of walking into your office.
