I’m Matthew Reilly, a licensed California health, life, and group insurance agent. Sutter County pairs Yuba City with miles of Sacramento Valley farmland, and I help local employers and growers compare group health plans by phone, video, and text.

Sutter County has about 100,000 residents and is named for John Sutter, the early settler who saw the valley’s farming promise. Yuba City began in the Gold Rush years as a river town where the Yuba and Feather rivers meet, and by 1852 it had a steamboat landing, a hotel, and about 150 residents. It has been the county seat since 1856. Across the valley floor rise the volcanic Sutter Buttes, nicknamed the world’s smallest mountain range. Schools, county government, health groups, retailers, and a large dried-fruit processor are among the biggest local employers. I can benchmark your current plan or help set up a new group plan. Always confirm that your doctors and hospitals are in the plan’s network.
🏢 What group health options exist for Sutter County employers?Carrier Access
Employers in Sutter County have access to the broader California small- and large-group market through the carrier network I work with through our vendor partners. Which carriers have active networks in your exact location depends on which hospital systems and medical groups your employees use — I confirm the real, current list for your ZIP code before you ever see a quote, rather than promising specific carrier names up front.
📋 Does group size work differently in Sutter County than the rest of California?Group Size
No — the small group (1–50 employees) vs. large group (51+) split, participation minimums, and open enrollment timing are all set at the state and federal level, not the county level. What does change locally is which hospital systems and medical groups are strongest in your employees’ network. See the Coverage Guide for how group size and plan rules work statewide.
🤝 Do I need a local agent, or can you help from outside Sutter County?Remote Access
I’m licensed to sell health and life insurance throughout California, and most of my clients handle everything by phone, text, and video — comparing options, signing paperwork, and getting enrolled without ever needing an in-person meeting. Sutter County employers get the same attention and the same carrier access as my Orange County clients; I just handle it remotely instead of walking into your office.

🥊 Do You Really Need a PEO?
👨⚕️ “Thinking about a PEO? Many lock you into one benefit structure, with admin fees built in.”
👩⚕️ “Here you get the HR tech, the compliance support, the Professional Suite at no additional cost, and full freedom to choose across the open market. What made a PEO sound appealing in the first place?”
