📍 Licensed and Working All Across California

California is the Golden State: Pacific beaches, redwood forests, the Sierra Nevada, deserts, and farmland, all in one place. I’m Matthew Reilly, a licensed California health, life, and group insurance agent, and I help people and employers in all 58 counties.

Outline map of California showing all 58 counties

There is no place quite like California. You can surf in the morning, walk among redwoods or Sierra peaks in the afternoon, and watch the sun set over the Mojave Desert at night. From the beaches of San Diego County to the forests of Del Norte County, each of the 58 counties has its own character, its own employers, and its own mix of health plans. I’m licensed to help in every one of them. Pick your county below, or scroll down to see the symbols that make California the Golden State.

🗺️ Which parts of California do you serve?Basics
The entire state — all 58 counties. Carrier networks, monthly premiums, and plan options (PPO, EPO, HMO) are structured by the state’s official Rating Regions, so pricing and doctor access both come down to where you live, work, and pay taxes.
📊 How do networks and pricing differ by region?Compare
RegionKey AreasNetworksAdvantage
Southern CAOrange, LA, San Diego, Inland EmpirePPO/EPO/HMO from multiple carriersWidest specialist choice, top medical centers
Central CoastSanta Barbara, Ventura, SLO, MontereyBroad PPO & regional HMOStrong local hospital access
Bay AreaSanta Clara, San Mateo, SF, AlamedaIntegrated HMO & direct PPOPremium medical groups, tech-grade benefits
Central Valley & NorthSacramento, Fresno, Kern, rural NorthRegional HMO/PPO & Medi-CalLarge regional systems, max subsidy leverage
✈️ Does my coverage work if I travel or move to a new county?Travel
Emergency care is covered at 100% in-network rates anywhere in the U.S. For routine care outside your home county, PPO/EPO plans reach statewide and national networks, while HMO plans keep you inside your local medical group. And moving to a new county is a Qualifying Life Event — it opens a 60-day Special Enrollment Period to update your address, subsidy, and network.
💲 Why does my price change depending on where I live?Pricing
California is split into 19 official Rating Regions, and premiums vary by region based on local healthcare costs, hospital competition, and which carriers operate there. Covered California subsidies apply in all 58 counties, but the dollar amount adjusts to the local cost of the benchmark Silver plan in your region.
🏥 PPO vs. EPO vs. HMO — what’s the real difference?Plan Types
PPO gives the broadest freedom — see out-of-network doctors without a referral. EPO keeps you in-network but skips the referral requirement for specialists. HMO has you pick a Primary Care Physician inside a local medical group who manages your care and issues referrals.
🧭 How do I get localized help choosing a plan near me?Local Help
Your region is assigned automatically from your address, and statewide carriers plus regional ones are matched to it. I check your doctors against the carrier’s live provider directory before you enroll, and in rural counties with limited PPO options, I look for plans with broad out-of-county access riders. All of this comes at zero added cost to you.
